1) Apply Pressure If the arm is bleeding, you first need to stop the blood flowing out of the wound. Take a clean towel and wrap the wound in it, applying pressure to the point of injury. If you can see bone sticking out, don’t touch the exposed bone and/or attempt to put it back in place. 2) Reduce Swelling In order to reduce the swelling that is occurring, make sure to apply ice to the wound, elevating the arm above the heart if at all possible. 3) Seek Medical Attention Immediately go to see a physician or other medical provider to see what the next steps are.
